James Bond would Aston’s latest creation.

Called Project Neptune, the limited edition submersible is the first project by Aston Martin Consulting and is being done in collaboration with Triton Submarines LLC. While it may seem weird a British automaker is looking to create a submarine, Aston Martin says the project enables the company to “further enhance and grow the brand into new aspects of the luxury world, with all the performance, beauty, and elegance one has come to expect from the British marque.”

Project Neptune pairs Triton’s diving and operational expertise with Aston Martin’s design, materials, and craftsmanship. Although we are currently only being treated to renders, it will eventually become an exclusive, strictly-limited edition vehicle.

Aston Martin executive vice president and chief creative officer, Marek Reichman, and his team began with Triton’s acclaimed Low Profile (LP) three-person platform as a foundation. From there, the team created a vehicle with inherently beautiful proportions, Aston Martin said. “Project Neptune is defined by its sleek, elegant exterior,” added Reichman. “We have used forms and proportions that express the same devotion to design, engineering, and beauty that shape our cars, such as the Aston Martin Valkyrie hypercar project.”
